Javastop coffeehouse is starting a monthly series to feature original, acoustic music in their warm, inviting, and intimate listening-room setting. The kickoff event will be Sunday evening, November 18, and will feature an all-acoustic performance by Tilia Americana.
Admission is free, but a hat will be passed and donations are strongly encouraged to help support local and regional music and art.
About the artists: Tilia Americana's bold, genre-spanning original music draws influence from folk, blues, rock, r&b, country and Americana styles, and is notable for use of alternative voicings, non-standard tunings and time signatures, creative arrangements, and beautiful instrumental harmonization. Their lyrics address widely varied themes from the nature of the universe to the nature of human connection, and draw inspiration from literature, art, science, mathematics, folklore, and the natural world.
Tilia Americana released their debut album, "Now What?" in 2017 and is planning a second recording project for 2019.
Javastop is Longmont's original coffee house. As comfortable as a good friend's home, Javastop is a beloved spot to meet, eat & art.
